sparrowlight
forty-two moons || heterosexual || warrior
I'm bright, but like lava.
I seem delicate, but even the most delicate of flowers has thorns.
I am the biggest challenge you will ever face, bub.

- a small brown and white tabby with green eyes.
Built like the cats of the moors, Sparrowlight is slender and has muscle that packs close to her small frame. She isn't very noticeably strong, as her apprentice-like size makes her come off as a very fragile creature. This is proved wrong though when she is seen fighting in training, or even in a real battle. Long legs and impeccable agility coupled with steady balancing skills enable her to use speed as her main tool while sparring. As long as she can slip through their attacks and rattle their attention with some blows powered by momentum, Sparrow does well holding her own in a fight. Sometimes she even trips her opponent so she can wear them down easier. After all, continually falling over and having to heave yourself back up does tire you quickly; this is especially true for cats of larger builds and thicker, heavier pelts.
Sparrowlight's slight build, although utilized confidently during battles, is better suited for hunting. Her paw steps are already naturally light, so it is easy for her to sneak up on her prey. The light weight of her muscles and body cooperate well when she needs to give chase, so Sparrow is quite the professional hunter. Her good balance also means that Sparrow can (and will) climb trees to hunt and end up pretty successful. This is a difficult skill to perfect, since not every tree is as sturdy as the next, so because she does use this approach often, it's not unusual for her to get injured from slipping on the bark and scrapping up her paw pads or getting splinters in them.
Short and soft, Sparrowlight takes pride in her pelt. It remains as clean as possible, and blends well within the forest despite how bright the white in it is. The she-cat's fur is actually quite unique in its coloring and patterns. A mix of earthy browns and tans blend together on her back, tail, and face. Some dark brown tabby stripes can be detected, but they are faint and smeared to look more like a dark haze than anything. The white makes it seem darker because of it's clean, freshly fallen snow color.
Sparrowlight has eyes the color of moss. They're a feminine almond shape and hold a calculating light to them that tends to make others cringe. It's not a particularly purposeful thing, just sort of her natural look. Sparrow is a naturally observant gal, and has quite a blunt tongue when she wants to, and this all shows in how she looks at others. It has come quite easily to the she-cat to hide her other feelings behind this mask, so it is pretty rare to see her gaze be anything but cold and intimidating.
PERSONALITY
- Sparrowlight is a very complicated she-cat. While she can be extremely kind and gentle, she can also become strict and intimidating the very next moment. It all depends on the situation. As long as you're responsible and do not give her reason to be stern, she will remain like a sweet mother who dotes on you.
HISTORY
- give me one hundred words for an apprentice, two hundred for a warrior, or three for an elder or high position cat. i expect a lot of detail and explanation from the character's personality here. what i mean is: a character does not just one day wake up and decide to hate the world, to be depressed, to become a mass murderer. there is always, and should always, be some sort of trigger.
- Also, please note that these clans are newly formed. The cats of each clan were not born and were not raised in any clan. In most cases there are almost four generations between the original clans and these clans. That being said, make sure you include how your cat came to be of it's clan, why they decided the clan they did, and if they have ANY clan blood. Please note that without clan blood you will not be accepted into TreeClan and you will have to participate in a trial to join HillClan. This should either be included in your history or you should role-play it out. If you have any confusion please feel free to contact a staff member.
SAMPLE
- i would like to see one sample of your writing, at very least three hundred words so i can see you in action with your character. don't worry, this is more just to develop a stronger understanding of your character's personality and state of mind.
NOTES
- please title this thread "Name of Clan". you may also change the color of the roleplayer alias below, but that is the only thing that may be edited on this application. we do not want an interview style app, we want a straight forward, traditional one. just remove this portion of the application before you post it. thanks!
