cinnamon ticked tabby with yellow eyes.
- Beetlepaw is of average build and size - not too massive that he has difficulty moving around but not so small as to suggest he is weak. He is a sweet, cinnamon brown color with darker ticking along his back, forehead, flanks, and of course at the top of his head. He has a black tail that fades up to cinnamon after only a couple inches worth of his tail. This tom has dark yellow - almost amber - eyes that practically always show his emotion. Typically Beetlepaw can be found smiling or laughing and is often bouncing about playfully. At this point in his life, Beetlepaw bares no evidence of battle or truly distinguishing features.

Adventure is something that has always been extremely important to Beetlepaw. Even in his youngest moons he showed little fear in new things and quickly became the most outgoing of the litter. He has always been one to push his nose into places it does not belong such as poking into the leader's den in the middle of an important meeting, sneaking out of camp and finding holly berries (luckily he was stopped just in time), or probably his worst adventure - exploring inside the inside of a den which resulted to be a fox den. Lucky for everyone involved there was no fox home.
If anything were probably his strongest feature - courage would have to be it. For the majority of his life he has been average but as time goes on he will be more on the smaller side of the size spectrum. And in that time he has learned to simply not fear things he should. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he could be considered a little too strange, but others just consider it has to do with his friendship with Moosepaw. Moosepaw was the cat that saved him from the holly berries when he was younger and ever since he has looked up to the older she-cat and stood between her timid nature and the world. It also probably doesn't help that his older brother always picked on him. But hey with no pain there is no gain.
Sometimes painfully so, Beetlepaw is known for his curiosity with the rest of the clan. It's the fuel behind his need to adventure and drag other cats into dangerous situations. Some day Beetlepaw may get another cat killed because of his recklessness but right now - in his early moons - most cats view his curiosity as endearing. Overall, Beetlepaw has the best intentions at heart but does not always know the best way to go about them and so often becomes confused or flustered attempting to do the right thing.
Ahh, humor, it is nothing lacking in Beetlepaw's life. He has a tender sense of humor and can usually be sparked into a laughing fit by practically anything said. He does not understand a lot of references and often finds that they sound funny - so he laughs. Aside from that, he has a tendency to be a little goofy and often tries to cheer other cats up through his own actions. He's the kind of cat that will do something stupid or embarrassing if it means it will cheer someone else up. He doesn't even have to necessarily like the cat to want to cheer them up though.
Spontaneity is something he has a lot of... experience with. Most cats may become frustrated with his inability to do the same thing the same way for than once in his life - but Beetlepaw finds it fun and exhilarating. He enjoys having fun and inducing fun in others. But side from that, his spontaneous behavior has yet to get him in trouble though I am certain that one day it will. In part because he often forgets to take into consideration the rules that have been laid out before him and instead just does as he pleases when be pleases, because he pleases. (And we all know how bad that could be with Pinewhisker.)
As strange as it may sound, Beetlepaw is filled with a certain vivacity - even though it is usually reserved for women, it is practically the only word that can describe him completely. He is overly bright and energetic and often comes across too strongly; though often means well. He is extremely animated and enjoys telling stories of his adventures with movements and actions (sometimes as far as jumping about and flinging his paws into the air). Most find Beetlepaw's spirit endearing while others may hate it and find it obnoxious and annoying.
This word is probably more for my own entertainment than anything else - but still distinctly defines a part of his personality which I deem extremely important. Glamour is a word which can only describe Beetlepaw's appearance and outlandish personality. While I am certain Beetlepaw would never go as far as to use the word "glamorous" to describe himself - I feel it fits him perfectly. His glamorous trait though is not as easy to see as some - his does not pertain to his appearance but rather his overall personality. He has a strong sense of who he is, what he wants, and how to get it. But all that aside he is also a loud, fun-loving cat that can wiggle into the deepest part of someone's heart. (As much as Pinewhisker hates me for writing this, but he even has a soft spot for the little shit. -his words not mine-)
As most cats his age; Beetlepaw is known to be frivolous - often lacking when it comes to serious topics. Or otherwise known as lightheartedness. Though this will not go away with age - likely it will stay about the same or get only slightly better as he ages. Most cats that are involved with Beetlepaw on anything that can be considered platonic or more will likely want to gut him at least a few times. Though he often means well and does care for those around him. I can only describe his lack of serious emotion to be a problem with his development - never quite reaching par.
Beetlepaw is known most in his clan for his loquacity - or talkativeness. He has a tendency to talk a little too much about anything and everything. He has even interrupted a clan meeting a couple of times - resulting in Pinewhisker looking down at him with a hateful look in his eyes and asking if there was anything he had to add into the manor. While most of the time Beetlepaw has been the kind to shut his mouth quickly and shy away from the comment - there was one time when he looked up at his leader and puffed out his chest and told him flatly that it was the dumbest thing he'd ever heard in his entire life. Then he was punished with a moon of elder duties.
Obnoxious is a simple way to put his insanely outgoing personality in the most negative way. Often, without realizing it, Beetlepaw has gone as far as to offend cats within his short life. While he is usually unaware of it, there are a few times that Beetlepaw has picked up on a cat's hostility toward him and he is quick to flash a smile - apologize and "right the wrong" in his head. While he does apologize, he as never quite comprehended that cats do not have to forgive him when he apologizes and often just assumes everything is better between them.
Finally, Beetlepaw can be extremely boisterous in his mannerisms. He tends to be loud, rowdy, and often difficult to contain. He is often filled with energy and loves to spend his time bouncing about and often underfoot. While it is never truly his intention to be in the way; it usually ends up that way. I personally feel that his boisterous personality is a unique and adorable characteristic but can understand why other characters may want to strangle this adorable little bugger at all hours of the night.

She was a young little thing - pretty too - but majorly over looked by the rest of the clan. She often had a tendency to wiggle herself into tight situations and irritate those around her because of the lack of understand that she had for the world. From the time she was born - only twenty-six moons ago - and even in her age today, Finchsky is known for her ability to get herself into trouble. Finchsky was the youngest of her litter, smallest too. She was often overlooked by her parents and the cats around her. Many cat thought she was ordinary, a little small but ordinary all the same. Finchsky was a studious apprentice but often forgot to do what she was told. There were a few close calls where she nearly got her clanmates killed because of her foolish antics. That was how she met Rowanflight.
don't you know that the hardest part is over ||
He had a tendency to be a little too friendly with most she-cats. He'd fathered a few litters before he'd managed to find the TreeClan cats. He was definitely older - much more than Finchsky was. He was nearly twenty moons her senior and was known throughout loner lands as trouble. But when he crossed paths with Tree he was accepted openly into the band. It was there that he became Rowanflight and became none for his friendly (sometimes too friendly) and loud personality. He was the eldest of his mother's kits - the first she had ever had, but his mother was dead and he spent the majority of his moons alone. Rowanflight had a strong sense of accomplishment when he was permitted to join TreeClan and it was not but three moons later that he was able to prove his loyalty.
let it in, let your clarity define you in the end ||
Finchsky was only seventeen moons when they met - him thirty-seven. Though it was not a "love at first sight" that brought the two together, but rather an unlikely foe. A fox had cornered young Finchsky against a tree and she had no where to go but up. She was in that tree yowling for help when the hero of the story came swooping in. He pounced upon the fox and ripped it away from the tree - demanding that Finchsky run. But instead of running she fought with him. The two fought side by side, a ferocity unlocked from deep within for Finchsky. That was what he'd seen in her that day. Rowanflight had been amazed from her sheer strength and will - power. So much so that it had rocked his world and after the fox was rid of the two struck up a friendship which quickly developed into something more. She announced a moon later that she was pregnant and Rowanflight wasted no time in asking her to be his mate.

Out of the litter, two little toms were born. There had been a third - a little she-cat - but she passed within the first hour of life. Their names were Beetlekit, Spiderkit, and their late sister's name had been Mothkit. The three were equally loved by the parents. Spiderkit was always more serious than Beetlekit and often grew sick of his parents antics; completely convinced that neither of them were really fit to be parents. Beetlekit developed his own personality from a combination of his mother and fathers, though no one is quite sure where Spiderkit's unique personality came from. Regardless of his tendency to be overly blunt and a little too irritable at most times, he is still greatly loved by his parents.
our lives were made with these small hours ||
Beetlekit always had a tendency to be a little too free-spirited. His parents had trouble containing his overly adventurous and fearless tendencies. They tried everything from keeping him under constant watch (which they are still irritated about considering it only took a second to look away and he was gone) to punishment. And because of his lack of fear toward most cats and things, the punishment never really worked either. He was always slipping out of camp or under the way of warriors. There had even been a time where he'd wandered into the leader's den right in the middle of a meeting that Pinewhisker was conducting. The little tom had sat down as if he belonged there and when asked if he needed something simply shook his head and replied with a huge smile on his face, "Why no sir, I was just inspecting your tactics. Don't mind me." Pinewhisker had been so completely flabbergasted by the little tom that he had forgotten to punish him and instead just sent him from the leader's den.
It was not until he was five moons old that his adventuring had almost caused him serious problems. Beetlekit had (again) slipped from camp and was wandering about looking for something fun to play with when he felt his stomach rumble. He had heard of berries in TreeClan territory and knew that there were some he could eat without getting sick. But it seemed that as luck would have it, he found holly berries. As he reached up on his tippie toes attempting to reach some, he was yanked away suddenly. He spun quickly to find a she-cat, one he had seen only briefly in his younger moons before she had promptly disappeared from the nursery. She quickly explained that they were holly berries and that they could kill him if he were not careful. But the fear of near death did not seem to strike Beetlekit as very important and within seconds he had turned the conversation to introductions. He learned her name was Moosepaw and since that day he has looked up to her and respected his larger, timid friend.

Beetlepaw was made an apprentice only recently and has been assigned to Timberfall. The little tom looks up and respects his mentor greatly but often forgets that they are out there training, not becoming friends. He spends the majority of his free time hopping and bouncing around camp, running through the forest with Moosepaw by his side, or otherwise just causing mischief (much to the annoyance of Spiderpaw).
