"I want to reconcile the violence in your heart. I want to recognize your beauty's not just a mask. I want to exorcise the demons from your past. I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart."
APPEARANCE
- "A lean calico she-cat with a silver left eye and a golden right eye." - Silvereye is your average cat when it comes to her build. She does not have the long legs for speed when she runs, but they have well developed muscles to aid in hunting and fighting, with fighting being the strongest of her attributes. Her fur is of medium length with a rather fluffy tail. Her belly, chest, and the lower part of her muzzle are colored white; her legs, back, tail, and head are splashed with varying tones of brown, orange, and black to give her the typical calico pelt. Her eyes are what would make her stand out from the crowd, with her left eye silver and her right a golden-yellow hue. As the she-cat ages, her fur will begin to thin out and her coats will slowly shorten in length as she gets older.
PERSONALITY
- Above everything else, this she-cat is loyal; to the clan, to the warrior code, to her loved ones. She is well in control of her emotions and is very good at keeping them hidden from others, but if someone were to know her well enough they would be able to see right through her, which is why she is afraid to and does not want to get close to someone else. This is due to the fact that ever since she was 8 moons old, she has known that she was not like her peers, like every other cat she saw walking around her. She harbors a huge secret, and lets no one in so no one can find out that while her fellow she-cats were fawning over toms, she was constantly yearning for such a relationship with a she-cat and had no interest in such intimacy with toms. In her 23 moons of life however, she has discovered that it would be impossible to find herself a mate...and thus, forces herself to keep it a secret, even from her loved ones for fear of rejection and humiliation.
She is very protective of those around her, particularly her family and loved ones. Of course she is protective of all her clan-mates, but she is especially so of those she holds dear to her. While she does not show her emotions often, deep down she is very loving and kind-natured. She is typically very serious but oftentimes can even be very sarcastic in her way of speaking, but this usually hints to a bout of playfulness. She likes to relax and unwind whenever she finds even short moments to do so and will take full advantage of such moments. When she gets her mind set on something, it is hard to deter her from her goal due to her stubborn ways. She is also very prideful, to the point that she refuses to accept any sort of help until the very last moment, when she finally realizes that she absolutely cannot do it on her own..and more often than not, it is usually too late for her to admit that she needs help from another cat.
Being the oddball that she is, she has always found herself having an unusually strong calling to water, which has oftentimes led her to wonder if perhaps she had not been meant to be a part of Creekclan. She's been known to even be one of very few cats to venture into the forest to hunt on rainy days without complaint, usually quite enjoying the water soaking through her fur. Towards cats outside of her clan, she is even more withdrawn and cautious, nearly always assuming the worst just to be prepared if they prove to be a danger to her or the clan.
HISTORY
- Silvereye grew up pretty normally with her small family. When she was born, her mother, Splotchwing, had initially named her Turtlekit for the shell-like patterns of her pelt. When her eyes opened though, she was the only one in the litter that had been born with one eye being yellow, and the other a light, icey blue, nearly silver color. Upon noticing this, her mother changed her name to Silverkit. She never had trouble with her vision. She could see just as well as her brother and sisters. When the four of them turned 6 moons old, she was more than excited to become an apprentice, knowing full well that her family, though they were loners, kept to the traditions of old and would not give them their final names until they earned it, both her parents always spoke of their ancestry lying in the lines of ThunderClan. Silverpaw was trained alongside her eldest sister, Mistpaw, by their father, Sorrelclaw.
All along during her training she noticed that unlike the rest of her family, she absolutely loved water. When she turned eight moons old, she also noticed something rather different about herself in comparison to her litter-mates. Where her sisters were hoping to meet toms and seeking the attentions of said toms, she could not bring herself to even imagine herself with a tom, and often found herself imagining that she was alongside one or another of the gorgeous she-cats they would run into. When she tried to speak of it with her oldest sister, Mistpaw (Now Mistcloud), the grey she-cat told her it was not something to be spoken of out loud. So she became weary of others and slowly began to shield herself by keeping her emotions under lock down. The one time she made the mistake of acting on these odd emotions she felt, the strange kitty-pet had turned rather violent…had it not been for Mistpaw’s interruption, the other she-cat would surely have swiped at Silverpaw at the very least. Ever since, she has truly heeded her sister’s warning.
She was always treated somewhat differently by her own siblings (except for Mistcloud), and other loners, rouges, and even kitty-pets that they ran into would seem weary of her. She became withdrawn at first, but soon realized she could not let others control her like they were and simply chose to keep her emotions to herself for good, to outwardly be as a rock. When she received her warrior name, it came as no surprise that her eye would be the center of it. She embraced it though, and has never once given any of her family or any other felines they ran into reason to doubt her vision nor her skill. Only a couple moons after their warrior ceremonies, a terrible storm hit the area that the small family had chosen to bed down in, causing much destruction and chaos. When the storm had blown away, Silvereye came to find she had been separated from her family. After days of searching for her family, she found herself wandering deeper into the forest than she had ever gone before with her family, and soon found herself face-to-face with a brown she-cat with green eyes. After a bit of conversing, Silvereye found herself as part of a newly forming clan… and whilst she was more than excited to join, she cannot help but wonder where and how her family is faring, especially Mistcloud…
SAMPLE
- Silvereye stretched out her limbs as she reached Sandstripe's side at the den entrance, preparing her muscles for the task she knew lay ahead. She knew it was new-leaf, so she was sure too much stretching wouldn't be necessary, the hunt should be easy regardless of what part of the territory they decided to go hunt at. She smiled inwardly at the thought that the hunt would go quickly and rather well. Smooth just about, so long as they hurried at least. She was certain most prey had eaten by now and would be relatively lethargic, ready to lay down rather than run away from a predator. Her two-toned gaze found the green orbs of her clanmate... the same green eyes she had locked gazes with many moons ago when they were apprentices, when her mentor had agreed to train her alongside the other pair, to let the younger tom practice fighting against someone a little ahead in their training. She remembered seeing him gain his warrior name, and feeling a bit of pride knowing she had been part of his training. She looked away, toward the entrance to break the quick glance. It wasn't usual for her to get nostalgic, but apparently all sorts of behaviors were off that day.
Her ear flicked in the tom's direction when he mentioned his time mentoring Petalpaw. She simply dipped her head at his statement, understanding full well why he was hungry, and knowing how honorable of a warrior he was, she knew he couldn't bring himself to just take a piece of fresh-kill...even if he probably worked as hard, if not harder than, the hunting party had that day. I was thinking Sunning Rocks. She looked up at him as they walked toward the entrance, "I was just there today...certainly a good time to go hunting there." she mewed thoughtfully, remembering the multiple mice she had caught glimpses of as the patrol walked through. Silvereye easily kept up with the other cat's brisk pace, just as eager to get to Sunning Rocks. Her ear flicked at his next words. She found it odd still that he seemed to want to make conversation, but she found that today, with him... she didn't mind it. "It's starting off rather well. She has a lot of potential, and she's very much like her parents..." here she paused a moment as he spoke again, and she smiled at the idea. It would be nice to have them training together, even if Petalpaw was a couple moons older than Lightpaw. "That would be a good idea... training her with someone a little older will do her some good. She needs to learn to think more rather to to fight off emotions." she finished off with her own small smile in return.
When she looked forward again, she knew they were only a few minutes' brisk walk from Sunning Rocks. She always forgot how fast time passed when she was actually engaged in conversation with someone, after all... more than a greeting or short conversation with anyone but her apprentice, her old mentor, or the occasional visits to Palestep, was extremely rare for her. "Lightpaw will be a great warrior... she has the passion. That same passion could blind her in battle if she doesn't learn to think ahead... it's the only part I'm truly worried about for her trianing." she added in, finding herself uncertain of what else to say for a few moments, "For now, I'm sure you've had enough for today about apprentices and training, I can only imagine." she said with a small smirk, "It's time to focus on our hunt." she said with a hint of excitement as their destination came into view. She glanced over at Sandstripe, wondering just how much he wanted to keep the conversation going.
