orangefang
we weren't born to follow, come on and get up off your knees. when life is a bitter pill to swallow you've gotta hold on to what you believe. believe that the sun will shine tomorrow and that your saints and sinners bleed. we weren't born to follow,
sleek pale ginger tabby with yellow eyes.
It is hardly an accomplishment to be called sleek and be a tom, isn't it? Oh well, if there was one cat that couldn't be more okay with the way he looked, it would probably be Orangefang. He is a sleek tom with long legs and a long tail. His long legs make him a rather tall cat (which he figures evens out the rest of his size). While Orangefang is indeed sleek and tall he also is laced with strong muscles that were trained for fighting, hunting, and swimming. Orangefang was named for his pale ginger fur which has lightened in it's moons as it was once much darker and was definitely closer to an orange color. Not it resembles almost a dark yellow or (depending on your view of the color) a very pale orange. This brute has stunning golden eyes which are near the color of the sun or the fiery colors of a sunset. Orangefang has one solid scar along the right side of his face where the fur has yet to grow back over the soft pink flesh. It was given to him by a loner when he was traveling alone before he found the clans.
when you're young, life is a mystery, yet to be discovered.
He was born a loner but never grew up like one. Any cat who knew of their family knew their ways were strange but modeled of the four great clans that had fallen all those moons. ago. His parents, Sorrelclaw and Splotchwing, were dedicated to the way the warriors once lived and instilled that passion upon their four children. Orangekit included. He had three sister, Turtlekit (renamed Silverkit), Mistkit, and Brownkit. The kits had a rather uneventful first few moons and so Orangekit didn't particularly remember a lot of it, but one thing he did remember was the fact that he was always the one to cheer the others up. Orangekit often took pride in being the center of attention and so made up ways to do so - though usually humor he found was the one that worked the best.
Though it was not until he was made an apprentice in his family's close knit bundle began to really blossom and shine into the joker he is today. The tom was often very slow in his movements and never seemed to be the one to hold these antics quite as close to heart as the rest of his family. But he pretended that they mattered because he knew how much it mattered to his mother. Splotchwing was the one that mentored him, along with his sister, Brownpaw. The two were not the best of friends but it always seemed that when he needed something it was Brownpaw he turned to. Especially when he needed someone to talk to and share his confused and often upset feelings with. Most cats didn't understand that deep down there was someone who cared, that there was someone who wanted to be able to care and to be there for the cats around him. But he just never felt that connection, and especially not with his family.
As the moons passed, Orangefang showed signs of prospect, he was a good fighter and did well hunting even though it was certainly not his most favorite activity. All the same, he did it and was finally made a "warrior" of sorts. There were times when Orangefang truly questioned his family's decision to make themselves a clan of sorts. He found no honor in it and only looked upon it as another passing day. While he was loyal to a certain degree to the cats that he held so near and dear to his heart he knew that it just wasn't the same as if he would have been born during the great clans. But his discomfort in his family circle seemed to cease abruptly the night that a horrible storm hit. His sister, Silvereye disappeared without a trace and he stepped up (along side Mistcloud of course) to go find his sister. Though Orangefang's intentions were probably not as pure as his sister's he did hope that one day he would find his dear little sister. Just not in the foreseeable future.
Orangefang left his family that day and never looked back. For almost six moons he lived by himself in the loner lands, enjoying freedom and solitude. He even dropped the first part of his name and went by "Fang". Fang was a rather lazy tom and only did the bear minimum to get by. He convinced himself it was how he made up for having to work so damn hard for the first part of his life. It was not until a border scrabble between himself and another loner that Fang learned why he needed so desperately to be with other cats. The tom had suffered massive woods to his face, several pink scars now marked his once flawless pelt. With that wound brought an infection. The young tom was found near death by the band of CreekClan and was taken back to their camp. He was nursed back to health and then was later accepted into their Clan. It was then that he took up his former name of Orangefang.

Well, most cats would consider Orangefang to be very playful and light-hearted. He makes a good friend as long as a cat understands and very fluently speaks sarcasm. Without that ability, to anyone without it that is to say, will probably not get along with him. Orangefang prides himself with being able to cheer up cats that are upset, sad, or in distress and enjoys being able to help them. Orangefang is incredibly adaptable. He has the ability to change what he needs to do to fit his surroundings and that is why he made such a good loner. Truthfully, this cat enjoys change and having a constant change of scenery so I guess the fact that he joined CreekClan really doesn't fit. But hey, it's where he wants to be, so let him be! Orangefang has a tendency to be very charming and charismatic to other cats. He especially enjoys the company of she-cats though recently since he has heard news of the clans and decided to join the clans he has continued the search for his sister. One last thing to know about this tom? He is adventurous and will usually do anything that could be turned into some kind of epic story about how he rescued a kit from six foxes or something along those lines. Anything that the elders will tell the kits about one day, right? Have to make it interesting!
Well, I suppose one thing that is probably a little bit of a problem for Orangefang is that he is extremely sarcastic and the biggest problem is he doesn't usually even realize he is doing it. It has been a coping mechanism for him for so many years that he doesn't notice most of the time when he does it unless some one points it out and then he often finds it very difficult to stop. One thing to keep in mind is that he is unpredictable and careless. He doesn't really think things out before he does them, Orangefang just kind of decides what sounds good for one minute and goes ahead and does it - not usually thinking of the consequences or coming up with a back-up plan. He is kind of a procrastinator and tends to dawdle through the majority of his work. He lives strongly by the philosophy of why do it now when there are three more hours in the day to do it? Flirtatious. It's sort of an understatement as it is not surprise to many of the she-cats i the clans and loner lands that Orangefang spends a lot of time with the females and usually it is never the same one.
